HealthyFood benefit
⚠ Vitality points YTD limit — can reduce VH cashback to R0
- Your Vitality Health (VH) HealthyFood cashback each month is subject to a Vitality points YTD limit.
- Limit = total VH points earned 1 Jan to end of previous month (at R1 per point) minus total qualifying HealthyFood spend over the same period.
- If this limit is zero or negative, your VH cashback for that month = R0, regardless of spend.
- Points: +20 per qualifying HealthyFood item; −20 per unhealthy item (minimum 0 per transaction). Max 1,000 VH points/month from HealthyFood.
Example: You earned 8,000 VH points (= R8,000) Jan–Mar; qualifying HealthyFood spend was R8,500. Limit = R8,000 − R8,500 = −R500 (exhausted). In April your VH HealthyFood cashback is R0 no matter what you spend.
✅ Vitality Health qualifying assessments
- To earn the full 25% VH reward (10% activation + 15% health check), both your Vitality Age Assessment AND Vitality Health Check must be valid within the rolling 12 months.
- If only one (or neither) is valid: 10% back at primary partners, 0% at secondary partners.
- Each adult on the membership must individually complete their own assessments.
📈 Monthly reward caps (per Vitality Health membership)
- Vitality Premium – single: rewarded on up to R2,500/month spend for VH + R2,500/month for VM.
- Vitality Premium – family: rewarded on up to R5,000/month for VH + R5,000/month for VM.
- Vitality Active (individual only): rewarded on up to R1,250/month for VH HealthyFood + R2,500/month for VM.
- Spend above these thresholds earns no additional HealthyFood cashback.
💳 Minimum monthly spend (per partner channel)
- Single: R150/month at each activated partner channel. Family: R250/month at each channel.
- In-store and online are evaluated independently — meet the minimum at each channel separately.
- If the minimum is not met at a channel, all spend at that channel is excluded for that month.
📌 Primary vs secondary partners
- Choose one in-store primary (Checkers OR Woolworths Food) and one online primary (Checkers Sixty60 OR Woolworths Online / Woolies App / Woolies Dash).
- Primary: up to 25% VH + full VM rates. Secondary: up to 10% VH only — no VM cashback.
- Partners can be changed once every rolling 12 months; changes take effect from the 1st of the following month.
❌ VM qualifying spend rules
- Credit card only — debit card, EFT, online banking, debit orders, cash withdrawals and gambling do not qualify.
- Transaction Account holders (bundled and pay-as-you-transact) do not earn Vitality Money HealthyFood rewards.
- On a mixed payment, only the credit-card portion counts toward VM qualifying spend.
- VM rewards are paid in Discovery Miles at 10 Miles per R1, allocated by the 15th of the following month.
HealthyCare benefit
⚠ Loyalty card must be swiped before purchases are rung up
- You must present and swipe your Clicks ClubCard or Dis-Chem Benefit card before the cashier rings up your purchases — no exceptions.
- If not swiped first → no HealthyCare reward for that transaction.
- Online: insert your loyalty card number at checkout.
- You must also pay with your qualifying Discovery Bank credit card — otherwise no reward.
👥 Who qualifies for HealthyCare VM rewards
- Qualifying: Platinum Credit Card, Black Credit Card, Gold Suite, Platinum Suite, Black Suite, Purple Suite.
- Gold Credit Card does NOT qualify — Gold Suite holders only.
- Transaction Account holders do not qualify.
- Secondary cardholders don’t earn their own HealthyCare benefit unless they hold a qualifying primary product.
🏥 Partner choice, minimum & maximum spend
- Choose either Clicks or Dis-Chem — rewards earned at one partner only. Changeable once per rolling 12 months.
- Minimum spend: R150/month at your chosen partner.
- Maximum rewarded spend: R2,000/month on Vitality Premium; R1,250/month on Vitality Active.
